Nonrepairable Salvage Vehicles
What is a nonrepairable vehicle?
A vehicle of a type otherwise subject to registration a nonrepairable vehicle is the one that meets criteria:
- That kind of vehicle that has no resale value except for as a source for parts or scrap metal.
- A recovered from theft completely stripped vehicle (a surgical strip) , missing all of the doors and hatches, all of the bolt on sheet metal body panels, and substantially all of the grill and light assemblies, substantially all of the interior components, or that the owner designates has little or no resale value other than its worth as a source of scrap metal, or, that could be used illegally, as a source of a vehicle identification number.
- A completely burned vehicle, that has been burned to the extent(burned hulk) that there are no more interior components or usable or repairable body , drive train components, or tires and wheels, and which the owner irreversibly designates as having little or no resale value other than its worth as scrap metal or as a source, that could be used illegally, of a vehicle identification number.
